Triathlon Ireland have reviewed our criteria for eligibility to race for Ireland as an age-group athlete.
In line with changes for eligibility in other Federations we are making the following changes, with immediate effect.
To be eligible to race for Ireland as an age group athlete you must satisfy the criteria below.
You must satisfy:
i) You can not have raced for another Triathlon Federation in the last year;
ii) You must be a Triathlon Ireland member when applying for a place and during the year of the race.
In addition you must satisfy one of the criteria below:
i) Be an Irish passport holder;
or,
ii) Be born on the Island of Ireland;
or,
iii) Be resident on the Island of Ireland.
For the last three criteria proof must be sent in with your application, see below.
You should send in either:
i) A photo copy of the photo page of your passport;
or,
ii) A photo copy of your birth certificate;
or,
iii) A copy of a utility bill, or bank statement, showing your address.
This bill must have been issued within the last three months.
Note that these criteria apply in respect of age group representation only and do not have any relevance to Olympic or other representation for Ireland, which will be governed by separate criteria.
